Softball Recap: St. Joseph Triumphs

St. Joseph won the last time they faced Ludlowe and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cadets came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cadets.

Katie Dzialo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Dzialo was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

Dzialo wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kelsey Flanagan, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

St. Joseph's record now sits at 2-0. As for Ludlowe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

St. Joseph didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Newtown on the 14th. As for Ludlowe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Trumbull on the 10th.
