Baseball Game Preview: Bayard Rustin Golden Knights vs. Great Valley Patriots

The Bayard Rustin Golden Knights will challenge the Great Valley Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bayard Rustin will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Bayard Rustin is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over Bishop Shanahan on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Golden Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

AJ Calio made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Calio was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one home run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Bayard Rustin got a massive performance out of David McClain, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave McClain a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Mace Britton, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
