Softball Recap: Gateway Regional Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lindenwold on Thursday, Gateway Regional came back down to earth. The Gators came up short against the Haddon Heights Garnets on Friday, falling 16-1. The loss continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Garnets: they've now lost five in a row.

Gateway Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Lynch, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Gateway Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Haddon Heights, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Gateway Regional will head out to take on Timber Creek Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Haddon Heights, they will welcome West Deptford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
