Banning Lewis Academy entered their tilt with Thomas MacLaren School on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Highlanders.

Persephone Phinney paced Banning Lewis Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Phinney got some help from Kaelyn Atencio and her 17 assists. Alexis Schoofs controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Banning Lewis Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Thomas MacLaren School, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-6 record.

Coincidentally, Banning Lewis Academy and Thomas MacLaren School will both be playing Eagle Ridge Academy the next time they take the court. The Stallions will head out to face the Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Highlanders will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
