Joliet West is 9-1 against Minooka since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Joliet West Tigers will head out to challenge the Minooka Indians at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Joliet West challenged Oswego on Tuesday. Joliet West enjoyed a cozy 57-43 victory over Oswego. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Panthers are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Minooka waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Wildcats 55-34.

Minooka pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Joliet West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Joliet West didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Minooka when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Joliet West since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
