Basketball Recap: Columbia Central Lions vs. Spring Hill Raiders
Columbia Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spring Hill Raiders. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.
Emma Sharp was her usual excellent self, putting up 18 points and eight steals for Spring Hill. Those eight steals gave Sharp a new career-high. Alayzia Harrison was another key player, earning 11 points.
Columbia Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Spring Hill, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
