Basketball Recap: Center Takes a Loss

Center was the 57-32 winner over Hoehne when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Center Vikings took a 53-37 bruising from the Hoehne Farmers on Saturday.

Leading Hoehne to victory were Bobby Terry and Nathan Zamora. Terry almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards, while Zamora posted 12 points and three steals. Zamora has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Lopez, who had six points and six rebounds.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 10-5. As for Hoehne, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Center has already played their next contest (against Custer County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hoehne will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Swink at 4:30 p.m. Swink has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
