Basketball Recap: Smithville Takes a Loss

Smithville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a blow against the Giddings Buffaloes, falling 66-19. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.

Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Giddings, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.

Smithville will head out on the road to square off against Caldwell at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Smithville is facing Caldwell at the right time seeing as Caldwell is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Giddings, they will host La Grange at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. La Grange will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Giddings surely won't give up without a fight.
