Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Wednesday. Gabrielino blew past South El Monte 3-0. Gabrielino hasn't had any issues with South El Monte recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

While Gabrielino won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-24.

Gabrielino's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for South El Monte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Gabrielino will head out to face off against Rosemead at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for South El Monte, they will host Marshall at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
