Volleyball Recap: South Bend Saint Joseph Takes a Loss

South Bend Saint Joseph lost against Penn back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Huskies fell just short of the Kingsmen by a score of 2-1. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Penn was led to victory by William Selis and Ty Werner. Selis had 20 digs and two assists, while Werner had four digs and two aces. Those four digs gave Werner a new career-high. Joshua Kim also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

South Bend Saint Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Penn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Coincidentally, South Bend Saint Joseph and Penn will both be playing DeKalb the next time they take the court. The Huskies will head out to face the Barons at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Kingsmen will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
