Baseball Recap: Arrowhead Gets the Win

Arrowhead won the last time they faced Muskego and things went their way on Monday too. The Warhawks came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warhawks.

Peter Kussow tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last three matches.

At the plate, Yamato Takahashi and Ollie Corry did most of the damage at the plate: Takahashi got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Corry went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Corry a new career-high. Cam Carter was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Arrowhead's record now sits at 12-5. As for Muskego, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Arrowhead and Muskego should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Warhawks (ranked eighth) will meet Westosha Central (ranked 130th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Muskego will square off against Waukesha South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (57 vs. 326).
