Baseball Game Preview: Potosi Trojans vs. Sullivan Eagles

The Potosi Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Sullivan Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Potosi is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Potosi had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but St. Clair put an end to it on Monday. Potosi took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Clair. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Sullivan didn't have quite enough to beat Father Tolton on Saturday and fell 4-2. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Sullivan now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Potosi, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Potosi came up short against Sullivan in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 6-1. Can Potosi avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
