Padua Franciscan took a six-goal loss the last time they faced off against Lake Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bruins' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for Padua Franciscan as they're now sitting on three straight.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Eli Christine, who's now up to six this season.

Padua Franciscan's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-3. As for Lake Catholic, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Padua Franciscan will venture away from home to take on South at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Catholic, they will head out to face off against Avon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
