Palmer Ridge and Air Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Palmer Ridge Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Air Academy Kadets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmer Ridge will be strutting in after a win while Air Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Palmer Ridge will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Lewis-Palmer, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Palmer Ridge came out on top against Lewis-Palmer by a score of 55-47 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Air Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cheyenne Mountain. While losing is never fun, the Kadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Red-Tailed Hawks are ranked 53rd).

Palmer Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Air Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Palmer Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over Air Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 50-39. Will Palmer Ridge repeat their success, or does Air Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
