Recap: Northern Valley Huskies vs. Stockton Tigers
Even though the Northern Valley Huskies have not done well against the Stockton Tigers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Northern Valley walked away with a 48-35 victory over Stockton. The win was all the more spectacular given Northern Valley's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Stockton is ranked 119th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northern Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Audrey Bina, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Sides, who scored 13 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Northern Valley and bumps their season record up to 3-8. As for Stockton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Valley will take on Western Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Western Plains has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Stockton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pike Valley at 6:00 p.m. Pike Valley is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
