Softball Game Preview: Gill St. Bernard's Knights vs. Delaware Valley Terriers

The Gill St. Bernard's Knights will head out to take on the Delaware Valley Terriers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lawrenceville School hit Gill St. Bernard's with a eight-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Big Red, falling 13-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gill St. Bernard's saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Kolenski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Kolenski has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Delaware Valley has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.46 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 15-3 to Robbinsville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Terriers have suffered since May 22, 2024.

Gill St. Bernard's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Delaware Valley, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.
