Softball Recap: Glenbard South Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elmwood Park last Monday, Glenbard South came back down to earth. The Raiders came up short against the IC Catholic Prep Knights on Tuesday, falling 14-7. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Glenbard South has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for IC Catholic Prep, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenbard South will face off against Glenbard North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for IC Catholic Prep, they will venture away from home to challenge De La Salle at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Meteors have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
