Volleyball Recap: Princeton Vikings vs. Oak Hills Highlanders
Princeton lost against Oak Hills back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 3-2.
Princeton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-27, 24-26, 25-19, 15-10.
Timaya Crooks paced Princeton's offense, picking up 12 kills. Crooks got some help from Trysta Leach and her 28 assists. Crooks was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Oak Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Princeton will venture away from home to take on Williamsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Hills, they will challenge Taylor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
