Basketball Recap: Rio Grande City Comes Up Short

Rio Grande City was the 41-23 winner over Mission when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rio Grande City Rattlers took a 34-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mission Eagles on Tuesday. The Rattlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rio Grande City's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Mission, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-15.

Rio Grande City will welcome Nixon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission has already played their next matchup (against Palmview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
