Football Recap: Wyoming Valley West Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wyoming Valley West extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-10. They were beaten by the Abington Heights Comets 53-7. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 479th, while the Comets are ranked 197th).

As for Abington Heights, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 27 points or more this season.

Jayden Anglin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 189 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass. Gavin Anders also helped out with an impressive 125 receiving yards.

Wyoming Valley West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Abington Heights, they will challenge Delaware Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Anglin and Michael Iuzzolino.
