Volleyball Recap: Colbert Heights Comes Up Short

Colbert Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Heritage Christian Academy Eagles.

Colbert Heights was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23.

Decatur Heritage Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Anna Kathryn Oaks, who had six digs and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Oaks a new career-high.

Colbert Heights' loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, they moved to 8-17-1 with that victory, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Colbert Heights has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Central on the 30th. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Elkmont on the 30th.
