Volleyball Recap: LKY Beats Fern Creek for Their Third Straight Victory

LKY waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Fern Creek Tigers 3-0. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

LKY's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Grider led the charge by getting 12 digs. That's the most digs Grider has posted over her last ten matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Scholtz, who had four digs and four aces.

LKY was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.

LKY's record now sits at 23-15. As for Fern Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14.

Coming up, LKY will be playing at home against DuPont Manual at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fern Creek, they will venture away from home to square off against Iroquois at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
