Liberty's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Owen, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. Owen scored a full 35.2% of Liberty's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kendrick Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Liberty and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Spartanburg, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
