Volleyball Recap: Davison Triumphs

Davison won the last time they faced Oxford and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cardinals came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0.

Davison not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Oxford to exactly 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20.

Addison Dunning paced Davison's offense, picking up ten kills. Dunning got some help from Berklee Stimson and her 12 assists. Dunning also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Makayla Naves, each putting up three.

Davison's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Oxford, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10-5.

Davison will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mt. Pleasant at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Oxford, they will host North Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
