Softball Recap: Osawatomie Takes a Loss

Osawatomie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Iola Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 on Tuesday.

Osawatomie's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Iola, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osawatomie will venture away from home to square off against Burlington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Iola, they are taking a road trip to take on Emporia at 4:00 p.m. on May 2.
