Softball Game Preview: Manvel Mavericks vs. Pasadena Memorial Mavericks

Manvel will head out to take on Pasadena Memorial at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manvel has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Manvel is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They lost 14-1 to Dobie. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mavericks have suffered since February 14th.

Kaylah Hopkins was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Pasadena Memorial was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They came up short against Alvin, falling 11-0. The Mavericks haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Pasadena Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Manvel, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Manvel skirted past Pasadena Memorial 14-13 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Manvel since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
