Baseball Recap: Foresthill Takes a Loss

Foresthill had taken Western Sierra Collegiate Academy down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Wildfires took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Wildfires were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Hunter Byrum made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Bryce Dowling also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Foresthill and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Foresthill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-6 loss against Valley Christian on the 4th. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 17-12 win against Sacramento on the 4th.
