Volleyball Recap: Cypress Park Takes a Loss

Cypress Park extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 6-16. They lost 3-0 to the Cypress Lakes Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Cypress Lakes, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-20. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0).

Cypress Lakes found their leader in sophomore Ava Limones, who had 17 digs and two aces. Limones has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Cypress Park and Cypress Lakes could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Tigers will take on Cypress Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (1027 vs. 28). Meanwhile, Cypress Lakes (ranked 679th) will meet Waller (ranked 136th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
