Baseball Recap: Ecorse Takes a Loss

If Ecorse was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Taylor Prep on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell just short of the Flat Rock Rams by a score of 6-4 on Friday.

Ecorse saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Carl, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Another was Darwin Udenata, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Ecorse's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Flat Rock, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Ecorse and Flat Rock should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Raiders will square off against Clarenceville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (191 vs. 560). Meanwhile, Flat Rock (ranked 64th) will meet Taylor (ranked 200th) at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
