Baseball Recap: St. Charles Takes a Loss

St. Charles lost against Bishop Hartley two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 4-2.

St. Charles dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 2.57 runs. As for Bishop Hartley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

St. Charles has already played their next game, a 22-0 victory against Franklin Heights on the 15th. Bishop Hartley has also already played their next contest (against Westerville South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
