Soccer Recap: Apopka Has No Trouble Against Ocoee

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Apopka had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Ocoee Knights 8-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Darters considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Their offense was hitting Ocoee from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Nevaeh Nguyen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Apopka now has a winning record of 9-8-1. As for Ocoee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Apopka wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Lake Mary on the 24th. Ocoee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
