Baseball Recap: Chief Sealth Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Chief Sealth's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Ingraham Rams on Wednesday. Seahawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Rams since on Wednesday.

Chief Sealth got a good showing from Sam Popelka, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Popelka a new career-low in walks (zero).

Chief Sealth's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Ingraham, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Chief Sealth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-6 loss against West Seattle on the 18th. As for Ingraham, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Franklin on the 18th.
