Volleyball Recap: Alexander Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Alexander Central and North Iredell squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Alexander Central had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Raiders. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Reagan Pierce paced Alexander Central's offense, picking up 14 kills. Pierce got some help from Makayla Williams and her 16 assists. Julianne Lewis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Alexander Central's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for North Iredell, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-7.

Alexander Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Iredell, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Watauga on the 25th.
