Softball Recap: North Adams' Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

North Adams hadn't done well against Peebles recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Green Devils had just enough and edged out the Indians 10-8. The win was nothing new for the Green Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.

Carlee Garrison was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

In other batting news, Paige Evans was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Woods, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

North Adams kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.

North Adams' record now sits at 4-6. As for Peebles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Coming up, North Adams will be playing at home against Eastern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Green Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Peebles, they will head out to challenge Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Mohawks have now posted at least ten runs in their last six contests.
