Evergreen Valley won the last time they faced Live Oak and things went their way on Friday too. The Evergreen Valley Cougars had just enough and edged the Live Oak Acorns out 58-56. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Live Oak's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Estrada Sanchez, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 18 points along with five boards and five steals. Estrada Sanchez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. Nathan Lozano was another key player, going 6 of 10 en route to 16 points and six assists.

Evergreen Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
