Basketball Recap: Oakland's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

It's playoff time, and Oakland had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Santiam Wolverines 51-31 on Saturday. The Oakers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 matches by 20 points or more this season.

The win (which was Oakland's sixth in a row) raised their record to 23-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points on average over those games. As for Santiam, they dropped their record down to 16-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Oakland will face off against Stanfield on Thursday. One thing working in Stanfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 20 games. Santiam does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
