Wasilla found a leader in LaLo PaLomares as the team took down Lathrop on Friday. Palomares went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, which was good enough to set a new career-high in RBI.

Palomares' strong effort led Wasilla over Lathrop and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are a perfect 10-0 against the Malemutes going back to June of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
