Volleyball Recap: Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Howardsville Christian Eagles. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Our Lady of the Lake Catholic was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.

Vivien Mcloughlin paced Our Lady of the Lake Catholic's offense, picking up 13 kills. Mcloughlin got some help from Allison Hemmerly and her 24 assists. Mcloughlin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Our Lady of the Lake Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Howardsville Christian, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-7-3.

Looking ahead, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic will square off against Tournament Opponent at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Howardsville Christian, they will challenge Watervliet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
