Basketball Recap: Ball Takes a Loss

Ball suffered their closest loss since December 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Iowa Colony Pioneers by a score of 66-64. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 405th, while the Pioneers are ranked 99th).

Ball now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Iowa Colony, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-11.

Ball does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Iowa Colony, they will face off against Port Arthur Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. Iowa Colony knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Port Arthur Memorial likes a good challenge.
