Football Recap: Seventy-First's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 14

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Seventy-First had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the J.H. Rose Rampants 48-7. Considering the Falcons have won 13 matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Seventy-First's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donavan Frederick, who rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Those 169 rushing yards gave Frederick a new career-high. Deandre Nance also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Frederick was just one part of a punishing run game: Seventy-First was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 477 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.9 points per game. As for J.H. Rose, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Seventy-First will challenge Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Seventy-First has won 19 straight at home dating back to last season, while Jacksonville won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change. J.H. Rose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
