Soccer Recap: Grand River Prep Takes a Loss

Grand River Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Kent City Eagles. If Grand River Prep was looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Kent City when the teams met back in September of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Grand River Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-2. As for Kent City, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand River Prep will welcome Wellspring Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grand River Prep will be up against Wellspring Prep's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.6 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kent City, they will host Ottawa Hills at 6:00 p.m. on October 3.
