Softball Recap: Brighton Takes a Loss

Brighton fell victim to East and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Leopards, falling 12-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bengals were not able to get on the board.

Brighton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for East, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Coming up, Brighton is taking a road trip to challenge Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight. As for East, they will host Alta at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Leopards' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Hawks have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
