Basketball Recap: Eastgate Life Academy Gets the Win

Nantahala came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Eastgate Life Academy, but Nate Harbins wouldn't allow it. Eastgate Life Academy came out on top against the Nantahala Hawks by a score of 76-68 on Thursday thanks in part to Harbins, who went 13 for 25 en route to 39 points in addition to six boards and five assists. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Eastgate Life Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Nantahala, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastgate Life Academy has already played their next matchup (against Trinity Classical), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nantahala and Blue Ridge Early College will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Nantahala is facing Blue Ridge Early College at the right time seeing as Blue Ridge Early College is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
