Baseball Recap: Pacific Grove Wins Going Away Against North Monterey County

Pacific Grove was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against North Monterey County on Wednesday. The Breakers put the hurt on the Condors with a sharp 10-3 win. The Breakers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 4th (when they won 11-4).

Ben Garry was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He also got three hits, which is notable because Pacific Grove is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 7-14 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Lippert, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Pacific Grove's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for North Monterey County, they moved to 15-11 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Pacific Grove nor the Condors have any future games scheduled.
