Football Recap: Colbert County Piles Up the Points Against Collinsville

It's playoff time, and Colbert County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Collinsville Panthers, posting a 64-19 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won seven matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Colbert County's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Keshaun Jones and Frank Hayes, who racked up five sacks between them. Jones' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 104 rushing yards.

Colbert County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points over those games. As for Collinsville, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Colbert County will take on Gordo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Green Wave have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. Collinsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
