Soccer Recap: Taylorville Comes Up Short

Taylorville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Argenta-Oreana Bombers. If Taylorville were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to Argenta-Oreana when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Taylorville's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Argenta-Oreana, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylorville will head out to take on Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Argenta-Oreana, they will face off against Mt. Pulaski at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
