Softball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Elmwood's Winning Streak

Elmwood and Oak Harbor squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Elmwood had to settle for second. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Elmwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Libbie Tyson, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Natalie Blake was another, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Elmwood moved to 17-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Oak Harbor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

As of now, neither Elmwood nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
