Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Julie Hess stepped things up a notch to give Hawthorne Math & Science Academy the 'W'. Nobody could stop Hess as she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024.
