Basketball Game Preview: Edward Little Red Eddies vs. Lewiston Blue Devils

Edward Little and Lewiston are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Edward Little Red Eddies are taking a road trip to take on the Lewiston Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewiston took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Edward Little, who comes in off a win.

Edward Little will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Scarborough on Tuesday. Edward Little breezed by Scarborough to the tune of 54-23.

Meanwhile, Lewiston was beaten by Cheverus 64-36 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Stags are ranked 22nd).

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Edward Little, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-6.

Everything came up roses for Edward Little against Lewiston in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 75-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edward Little since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
