Basketball Recap: Merrill Comes Up Short

If Merrill was feeling good fresh off their 68-37 takedown of Ashley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The game between the Merrill Vandals and the Fulton Pirates didn't end well, with the Merrill Vandals falling 58-40. The loss continues a trend for the Vandals in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost six in a row.

Merrill now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Fulton, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Merrill will take on Farwell in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fulton, they will be home for the holidays to greet Ashley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fulton has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three matches.
